Funny you should mention that. Over the past three weeks I have switched over to using index cards to organize my tasks (primarily) and ideas (to a limited extent). It began as an experiment motivated by the realization that I simply get too distracted by the internet and waste too much time. To begin the transition, I treated myself to some fancy 3 x 5 cards with rounded corners from the stationary store (https://www.baronfig.com/products/strategist -- which are dotted on one side, which I don't like, but blank on the other -- as well as some card boxes and index divider cards for organization. Each task gets its own card. As an added technique to limit my tech use, I have been using an app called Forest . I have already found myself being more productive as well as greatly enjoying the organizational advantages of laying out and rearranging my note cards on a big desk. I am still doing most of my journaling and other writing on my computer, and I continue to use Tinderbox regularly. But on the whole, despite the significant trade-offs, I am relishing the old-fashioned joys of note cards after years of nearly exclusive computer use.

I used SuperNotecard until they decided to go to a subscription.
