I use bBlock Origin for blocking ads. I always disable it on website that do it fairly (in my view). It is always disabled in this forum.
But, I honestly would not pay a subscription fee.

I had never seen ads intervening in the forum content, only to the left or below it. But today, curiously enough, I just saw one, in this specific thread, on the default Windows Phone 10 browser (Edge).
The ad does not seem to have anything to do with the content itself, e.g. related to a posted URL, other than appearing within a longish post.
Chris, I wonder whether the software you use for the forum has recently received some kind of upgrade which conveniently added this ‘feature’.
FYI, I never use ad blockers, and will occasionally click on ads in sites that I appreciate, hopefully contributing to their income.
