This is old news by now, but I thought it worth mentioning that Alex Jenter has published a prototype of the future UI for CintaNotes:

I gather that he is working on it at the moment, and the new version will be issued later this year.

I'm looking forward to it. I find CintaNotes powerful, flexible, and useful in all sorts of ways. My only serious misgiving about it is that it's not very attractive on the screen, and it appears that the new UI will try to remedy that problem.

im going to look into this thing more fully, someone had recommended it
