FYI I came across this comparison between Taskade and Notion, which features an informative reply by John From Taskade. From what little I know of both apps (I tried out the Pro Taskade tier in 2019, noodled with Notion a little last year) the comments are accurate

I received an email from Taskade this morning detailing the new two-way sync with Google Calendar, but the functionality seems like it could be overwhelming. In Taskade “Events created in Google Calendar will appear as unassigned events in your Taskade Calendar. To add the event to a project, simply click on the event and assign a project.” Considering how many personal and professional events I have in my calendar that I have **no interest** in turning into tasks, that section of ‘unassigned events’ would be huge and unwieldy. But it’s an interesting structure for tasks, so that you can taskify events without needing to duplicate anything.
I’m currently using Todoist, which only manages tasks created with Todoist; any task you create with a date/time can be made to appear in Google Calendar, where it can be edited, but there’s a strict delineation (unless I’ve missed something) between Todoist tasks (mirrored in GC) and GC events. This seems natural to me, and I guess I don’t need to duplicate events into Todoist. Still trying to wrap my head around the concept…

Hi there,
Just to clarify
1. Only the selected workspace will sync with your Google Calendar.
2. The 2-way syncing only applies to tasks in the “Taskade” calendar in Google Calendar
3. Your other events in Google Calendar will not sync, they must be tagged the “Taskade” calendar.
Hope that helps!
