What a great list - days of fun!
I downloaded only one new app from the list yesterday: Scholar’s Aid. This is actually a pretty great information manager. It provides:
- rich text notes with tables and embedded images
- tagging and hierarchical folder organization for notes
- associates notes with a bibliographical source, and inserts citations into Word and other word processors
- very decent web capture

I echo the thanks, but it looked like it was Windows-only.

The list is now Win and OSX thanks to many of you.
Bad news though. I had to roll it back to 2008-08-04 11:18:30 AM because the list was incorrectly sorted (i.e. Tinderbox was now a Windows app.)
So changes in the last 2 days are lost. Users can view the history to see the difference. To make this sharing experience:
1- It would be best if users would register, that way, we’d see who modified what, and could be advised if another roll-back is required
2- When sorting, make sure you select all columns and check “Has header row”, this will leave the first row at the top.
Thanks!

The list order was corrupted again, since someone sorted incorrectly… I think that for the benefit of all (and as I have little time to spend on this), I’ll restrict the usage somewhat:
- The list is now read-only by default
- To make changes, click the UnLock button at the bottom and enter the password: outliners
Hopefully, this will avoid corruption. Again, it would help if users registered…
If this password approach does not help, we can use community access or invitation-based e-mail access methods.
Happy outlining…
