Omni Group’s 2018 roadmap for OmniFocus 3 has several interesting changes, new features. They plan to introduce OmniFocus for the web this year—a new platform for them, which will make OmniFocus available for Windows.

Very interesting. Thank you, Paul. Aside from Omnifocus for the Web, the other aspect of the roadmap that I found particularly salient was the replacement of “contexts” by “tags” (with the stress on the plural).
It’s my impression that a number of OF1 and 2 users migrated away to other task managers such as 2Do simply because they wanted to use more than one context per task. Now, effectively, in OF3 they’ll be able to. It will be interesting to see how Omni Group’s designers ensure that this can be accomplished without making their UI too fussy, or the job of creating a task too laborious.
Personally, I also hope that the OF database continues to play nicely with Übersicht. I value each morning seeing my OF tasks for the day displayed on my desktop.
