Been trying to get IdeaMason v 4.0. Have tried all the avenues. Since the software is defunct, this forum is my last hope for the software. If you have the software (version 4 - which is not freely downloadable), I would be very much grateful if I can get hold of the exe of the app. I have the license but o

Some people do seem to have the version 4. I m hoping that one of them would notice this somehow and lend a helping hand.

As far as I can see, these were the latest relevant discussions, re the revival of IdeaMason to v4:
http://www.outlinersoftware.com/topics/viewt/2619/
http://www.outlinersoftware.com/topics/viewt/3382/
So the software was abandoned once, revived and updated, and then abandoned again.
In instances like this I can well understand the argumentation of Open Source Software advocates.

I have Idea Mason 4.0.0 installed.
However, when I looked for the installation files, all I have is a "setup.exe" that's 459kb in size - it must download other files off the web in order to install the full program.
I have the "IdeaMason4.exe" in my Prgram Files (x86), but I doubt that will work on it's own without a proper installation.
I do have what appear to be the complete installation files for 3.0 - 3.1

Gmail wouldn't let me send, so uploaded IdeaMason4.zip to Google Drive. Sent the link to the email address you provided. Hope that's what you needed.

I used IdeaMason more than ten years ago. I liked it. I particularly liked the fact that it allowed relatively easy "chunking". I also liked its name; I've long believed that long-form writing is more like building a wall than taking wing on airborne flights of fancy. But then the developers seemed to lose confidence, and I looked elsewhere and found Scrivener.
