I just came across this when I was reading about syncing Android Outliner with Gtasks, and found out there was a desktop application for Google tasks. There's no rich text formatting but it does seem to sync well online and with the Android Outliner.
Anyone here have any long-term experience? I am trying now.

Gtasks is hardly what I would call a serious outliner tool.

Gtasks is not as well developed as Bonsai, but it resembles it in someways, and it has the important feature of allowing synchronization with Android Outliner, and therefore the ability to carry a real outliner program on an Android telephone.
I too would like to see more features, like inline editing, but it is a direct-synchronizing outlining program that does not have to use dropbox like is needed with Bonsai.
For "serious outlining" I have used Ecco for 20 years. Gtasks for Desktop is for portability.
