Where are you finding the download to the final version?

The green “Download for Free” button is right under the heading.

In my defense, the page must have been cached, because I was just seeing the old page about version 6, even when I clicked the link from Drewster’s message. But after reading your response, I refreshed the page and there it was. (Just don’t want you thinking I’ve gotten dottering just yet.)

The Quick Entry cannot insert into encrypted journals. That is my only issue I have with this amazing software.
The menu app (similar to the Quick Entry) in Day One can easily insert entries into encrypted journals. But not in MacJournal.
It would be a nice feature to add new entries (ideas) without opening the whole list of (potentially embarrassing) entries. This is especially useful (security feature) to write entries even when talking or sitting with other people. Opening the big journal to insert new entries exposes personal entries to other people.
In DayOne, you don’t have to. You just record your thoughts in the menu app without opening the big repository. You are always secure. I open the big list only once in a couple of months. All other times, I just write my entries using the menu app. This is much more secure

Loved using MJ as well. As I had the feeling the developers abandoned the project, I moved on to Evernote. What MJ did really well is the pure simplicity of the application: no feeling of bells and whistles.
Any news on what exactly the update will contain - feature-wise?
