Interesting, but I have a lot of questions. Is this the same company founded and run by Scott Love (who's locked down his @aquaminds Twitter page), or is this being run by new ownership? And shouldn't the devs have sent out something first (or at least contemporaneously) to registered users of the app?

Since Scott Love signs the blog postings, it's probably the same Scott Love.
