I agree with rogbar here - seeing stuff in context is quite important. I seem to remember Workflowy does this quite well?

Madaboutdana,
Just checked out workflow and the way it works. I will make it a option on a per filter basis. Probably in 1.1.
Thanks,
Peter

There have been quite a few references to Ecco Pro and I would support the idea that you take a good look at it. There are ideas and features in it that still, 20 years later, haven’t appeared anywhere else with such simplicity and clarity.
If SheetPlanner comes anywhere near Ecco Pro, I’ll be in for it

Rogbar,
After talking this over with my developer, here is what we are shooting for in version 1.2 or 1.5.
The ability to ‘Pin’ tabs like in Safari.
Pinned tabs would have settings for:
1) What filter to apply
2) Whether to show the filtered items a)parents and b)children or neither. Context items would be in grey.
3) The sort order to apply
4) Which columns to show
5) Which views to show (Outline, Calendar (month, year to begin with and later week and day), Timeline)
6) A unique icon to visually indicate something about the tab. We may not choose to make pinned tabs as small as they are in safari.
Also, we will add the ability to have fixed column widths in 1.1.
Thanks for everyones feedback, it definitely helps shape the product.
Thanks,
Peter
