OmmWriter, a minimalist / distraction free "writing environment" (i.e., full screen text editor) has been updated. It's a bit difficult to tell what the update is. Available for Mac and Windows -- I haven't tried the Windows version yet.

OmmWriter has very few features -- full screen, choice of backgrounds, various soundtracks (or none), dark mode, choice of fonts. Exports to RTF, Word, text, PDF. It's not a markdown editor -- though you can use the syntax and export to text if you want. It is what it says it is: distraction-free writing environment.

I think the interface is well designed and pleasant.

For a minimalist app it is way too slow (Windows ver.). There's a small lag in writing, not much, just enought to get on your nerves.
