It’s worth noting that the list price for the Mac version is 50% of the Windows version—so I guess that means 50% smaller feature set.

I was looking into Mindmaping tools for managing projects.
I tried Xmind. I liked Xmind for the gantt charts.
But, recently dicovered Mindview. It is much better: the timeline view is wonderful. IN addition, the Gantt is smarter (does calculations).
How is MindManager for managing projects?

MindManager and MindView feature sets seem comparable on paper—for the Windows versions. MindView’s Mac version has fewer feature than its Windows version. Pricing between MindManager and MindView is comparable—and both are very pricey. I use MindManager for project management and enjoy the tight integration with Outlook, MS Project and others. The Outlook integration matters a lot to me and has been very helpful esp. for tracking artifacts and client deliverables.
MindManager has Zapier integration, if that matters to you.
Since you can trial both apps I would suggest doing that.
I just started the MindManager 2018 30-day trial (thanks to the announcement in this thread)—some good new features for project management.

If they have been developing it since 1998, then it will only be the cruft that is holding it together by now. ;0)
