Folks, I know that sounds like a silly subject line.
But I started to play with the latest release of SQLNotes, inspired by the getting started file on the web, and a sample file provided with SQL Notes that se4ts up a lot of the basic needs, such as appointments, contacts, music library (an essential!), etc.
And I am beginning to get both the big picture and the small picture alligned.
I realize that the feel of the program is similar in some ways to my old favourite Mac program InControl, and perhaps (though I don’t this) to current Mac info managers. If that is the case, though my bias is toward Mac, Pierre could market SQLNotes as the reason why you don’t have to give up your PC to get a good outliner.
(Coincidentally, last night I watched a British Nova download [The Doctor Who Hears Voices] on a friend’s very basic Imac, and was blown away by the screen quality. Off the topic, I recommend this program for anyone who himself, or has a relative or friend, who has issues with hearing voices related to schizophrenia or other psychotic disturbance; there is hope, and it doesn’t always mean heavy duty drugs. I have used for about five years some similar methods to the doctor in the program’s approach, and they do work. Anyone who might wish to write me privately/confidentially re this is welcome to do so at daly.de.gagne@gmail.com )
Back to the topic: I think I will spend more time than I have with SQLNotes.
As for the name—I think the name says a lot, because people (even me) know what SQL is, and if there’s no proprietary problems utilizing SQL in the permanent name, it may not be so bad after all.
Good stuff, Pierre.
