NVIVO vs Devonthink

Yes, unless you have a free licence for NVivo, it would be my last choice for use on a Mac. (I've never used the Windows version. I suspect it works better on that platform.) As mentioned, Atlas.ti works much smoother and it seems to me to be clearly the best software for "pure" QDA.
Also as mentioned, MAXQDA is also very good, and, if you buy the Plus or Analytics Pro versions you can get statistics and other functions added on. I'm not sure whether that is the best way to go, or whether it makes more sense to get pure QDA software and learn R or something to do stats.

Not mentioned yet, I believe, is Quirkos, which is cheaper than most alternatives and looks pleasantly tactile.

Thank you Paul. That is right. QDA can do more details: and the concept
map of the tags. But, most important to me is not the concept map of the
tags themselves: rather the concept map of the quotations.

look at this video to see how the concept mapping of quotations
alongside the tags work in Atlas:

But, I am really in conflict right now. Atlas Ti is very attractive for
the concept mapping. But, Maxqda is much more efficient in many other
areas.
