Notes Plus, a pretty good note taker for iPad has recently been made available for iPhone. On iPad it is a good companion for the Pencil—and has been on my home screen for a long time. It also has very good handwriting recognition.
These features are less useful in the phone version. One could use a stylus, but I think writing with a stylus on a phone is not great. The main advantage of the phone version is as a reader for notes made on the iPad and synced to the phone.

Aaargh! You’re making me think CRIMP! CRIMP! CRIMP!
I’ve secretly been ogling iPad Pros (the only ones that work with Pencil, so I know you have one!) for a while now, but can’t honestly justify the expense.
But they are so gorgeous! With so many lovely, Pencil-supporting apps!
Ratz. I shall have to drive the thought right out of my head again…
