Firetask’s project view is definitely its strongest gambit, however. This is, if you like, the equivalent of a “separate window” - you can see the full range of notes and tasks for each project conveniently spread out in front of you, so you can concentrate on a single project very easily. At the same time, one mouse click and you can check out tasks due “today”. Nice.

I like the task notes are displayed along with the tasks. They are hidden in Things
But, how do you hide the items on the left menu (like the Categories….)?
The difference beteween your workflow and mine is that: I don’t have many tasks to switch. I have a single project (my disseration). Then, Things helps me to zoom inner and inner into each of the subsections of the chapters. I really don’t have any other task to manage. I just use it to crystallize my thoughts: what I want to write on each subsection of my disseration. I am writing a lot of project notes to clarify my thinking. I drop tasks as I write notes and clarify the ideas. Then, I then covert the some of the tasks into further and zoom in further deeper as each subsection needs further clarification and work.
it is like the The Brain. I havn’t used that software. But, from the reviews, the whole concept of the application seems zooming inner and innter into the rabbit holes of ideas.
Project in seprate window—> clarify—> zoom in deeper—> Project out the task—>zoom in, clarify
