I’ve just discovered that Resophnotes is a perfect match for Scrivener.
1. You need a clean Simplenote account
2. Create an empty desktop folder
3. In your Scrivener project, go to File>Sync>With external Folder, choose this folder. Make sure to check the txt format.
4. Scrivener will convert all the subdocuments in your project to txt files. Footnotes are converted to [[...]] and annotations to {{...}}}
5. The syncing works both ways and is very fast. You can also open the files with other plaintext editors, access the data online (through Simplenote account) or on other platforms (Android and Mac Simplenote clients).
