I'm curious -- has anyone run ADM4 beta on Vista?
If ADM was to start up again with decent capitalization and a different approach to management, wold there still be a market for it?

I need to install ADM on my Vista machine soon so I can access my ADM files. Unfortunately, my copy of the ADM install .exe is on a backup drive that's not accessible from my Vista machine (long story) - that's why I haven't installed it yet. Does anybody here remember the link (if it's still live) for the adm .exe?

Oh, and as to the 2d part of your question: yeah, I would still buy ADM if a new version came out and I had reason to think the company would survive for 2-3 more years. For me, it's still the best information manager out there. But I don't think many other people would buy it unless it got a significantly more modern-looking UI.

Dan, thanks.
I am in more or less the same situation as you are.
I have, however, always liked the somewhat different ADM GUI, because it didn't look like it was designed by Microsoft -- it was unique.

Jan, thanks for the url. I got ADM working when I set compatibility for XP.
However, it is the 30-day trial version. I have been unable to get my old registered program off the machine that crashed. Is there a way around this problem that you know of. It is difficult, given that Arnie and Eric no longer answer emails.
Thanks.
Daly
PS Must admit to feeling some nostalgia when the ADM program opened up.

Thanks Jan and Daly,
It's working for me on Vista too. I'll look in my email archives for my reg key and see if it works to get around the 30-day problem. Otherwise I may have to spend this 30 days exporting everything I haven't yet exported from ADM.
