Hm, just discovered an intriguing version of Xmind for macOS and iOS: Lighten (lighten.xmind.net).
Apart from some apparent hiccups on the Mac, it looks like a nice - if fairly basic - piece of software. I shall wait until the macOS version has evolved a little further, then perhaps explore...

I've tried it. It's more like MindNode than Xmind. And it is minimally functional. The iOS version is less functional than the macOS. They are both more proof-of-conceptish than mind mapping for real.
If I'd saved my money I could have had a really enjoyable pizza instead!

True, Paul, but on the other hand, you have now (very slightly) advanced the cause of CRIMPing, than which what is more valuable?
Pizza or CRIMPing? I know which I'd choose...
