Paul. No, it’s not onerous.
It’s just: Sometimes, I forget to close a file before leaving the office. That’s how I managed to damage a Scrivener file a year ago. I could save most of it, though.
But, as I wrote, it’s no deal-breaker for me. I just have to be more cautious.

As a long-time user of Curio, I have to chime in with my full support here (and I registered after watching in for a while now just to do so).
As to the sharing of Curio Projects on one machine to another, I’ve been running Curio between my office login and my personal login on my MBP. I will not claim that all is perfect. The method used for sharing the internal settings (tags and such) has been modified in the switch 10 -> 11. I’ve been a bit overwhelmed to contact the developer to troubleshoot the issues in greater depth. I suspect that part of the problem has to do with the mysterious Mac permissions. Part also has to do with a need for me to sit down, clean out old clutter, and try the sharing again from ground zero.
Otherwise, have you considered an AppleScript to “tell application XYZ to quit” on your work machine set to run every evening at a certain time? Or better still, just have ia cron restart your work machine every evening at Xpm to flush everything?
