I would like to pursue the discussion re Omea in the context of Idea.
It seems to me that both programs offer some similar benefits, primarily being able to pull together data from different aps and files on a context or project related basis.
Is there a distinct disadvantage. To get linking with Outlook, one needs Idea pro, but Omea Pro, which is now free, is synched to Outlook, and indexes files, something that again one needs Idea pro for.
I now have a laptop -- a new Toshiba Satellite that seems able to move Omea pretty quickly.
Again, I know there are folk here who have used both programs, and am wondering if someone can offer some meaningful comparisons.
Thanks.

The English URL is www.sycon.de/eng/index.htm
Idea! comes in different flavours and (conceptually at least) is a fascinating app that was a little ahead of its time. That lead is fast disappearing as the likes of OneNote and UltraRecall push for an integrated PIM environment. As you'll see, Sycon is not just a software vendor and so they have a different perspective on software development and marketing than most of the other companies we discuss here.
