A new note pad app for iOS and Windows 10 from MyScript (see the videos at MyScript.com) combines handwriting recognition and conversion, shape recognition (for converting hand-drawn diagrams), and math syntax recognition. Several other features are available: annotate pictures, draw interactive images (i.e., move boxes in a diagram), export as text (iOS version), Word (Windows version), or text. Nebo also recognitions “decorations” in the handwritten text such as: underline text to make it bold when the text is converted, box text to make it highlighted when converted.
MyScript app’s have always been very good at hand writing recognition. Nebo is available on Windows (requires an Active Pen), and iPad Pro (requires an Apple Pencil). A MyScript account is required—or link to a Google account. There is no fee, but it feels like a product that will might soon get a “Nebo Pro” release with additional features and/or a subscription fee.
