I’d probably invest in that. Is there a link to the Kickstarter page? (Apologies if I just didn’t catch it.)

From the Gingko blog: “I’ve decided not to pursue the Kickstarter Open Sourcing at this time.”

Just like the commenter said there, I’m also relieved that Adriano has decided to stay on. Nothing against open source per se, but it’s not all that easy to create a community of developers. This way there is at least one person dedicated to developing, or if nothing else, keeping the software functional.
In fact he’s added some new features recently:
“I added Copy/Paste to Gingko a few weeks ago. You can now hit Ctrl+C to copy a subtree, and Ctrl+V to paste it.”

I just wish he’d consider producing a desktop app – I’d snap that up straight away. Gingko is without a doubt the most ingenious writing tool I’ve ever used/seen. BUT I’m not prepared to live online just so I can use it.
An independent Gingko desktop app (not necessarily sold through the Mac App Store), plus an iOS app (which would have to be sold through the App Store) would, in my view, represent a solid commercial proposition. It’s the way more and more Mac developers seem to be going.
Cheers,
Bill

He says he is: “For the last month, I’ve been working on a collection of features that combine both the most frequent request I’ve ever had (a true, download to your device(s), offline capable Gingko),...”
