Ask Sam 7 Beta

Ask Sam has gone into beta for v7.
I downloaded it against my better judgment—but being a CRIMPer is sort of like being an alcoholic—there’s often not a lot of room left for better judgment. And I speak from experience, having first been an alcoholic (grin).
My question for those who know more than I: There have long been issues with Ask Sam re how well it does what it is intended to do, and a reluctance of management to engage users in meaningful discussions/response to those issues.
It is as though the Ask Sam developers went to the same school of indifference to customers as did Jim Lewis and the InfoSelect folks.
However, I like the way Ask Sam is set up with its entry forms, and it seems like the beta version has a more contemporary feel and functional solidity about it compared with its forerunners.
So to those who know and/or may actually use Ask Sam: Have any of the long standing issues been resolved?
Does Ask Sam management listen any better to customers than they apparently once did?
Thanks for any input or advice.

Thank you for giving the hint to askSam 7 beta testing.
My first impression is quite good despite I won’t switch from UR to askSam because the forms and attributes are much easier to maintain in UR than in askSam. Second, I am too lazy to mirgrate my main UR database with 2000 items to askSam (or any other system…).
I will continue testing askSam 7.
