For your crimping pleasure, the Alpha version of Memento for the Desktop: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mementodatabase/83DcmuBDp8U
Memento has been discussed before here: http://www.outlinersoftware.com/topics/viewt/2040/5
It’s an Android database / notes app that has been around since at least 2010. Now they have a desktop version for, apparently, Windows, Mac and Linux, available via the above link. It looks like Windows is native and the others are Java. The link says you will be able to sync with Android via their own cloud service. (Why? Why not Dropbox?) And they will eventually have support for “encrypted libraries.”
Unfortunately, it looks like you can only try it if you have an account set up using the Android app. Sadly I don’t have my Android device nearby so have not been able to try it yet.
