Could disabling the CT toolbar help? Everything else is text, so in theory, it should be usable, unless this issue affects text as well.

While we’re on the topic of virtual machines and vintage software (like GrandView), I discovered an operating system called FreeDOS (http://www.freedos.org/) exists. I haven’t tried it yet, but this might be a better way of running things like GrandView, Agenda, WordStar or what have you than using emulators like DosBox.
