Sad news for those of us who thought NoteSuite was once the most promising of information managers, with its automatic cross-referencing system and so on.
Here’s the link to the iOS announcement (the MacOS announcement is identical):

I’m not exactly surprised. The company blog went completely blank about two years ago, and people’s apparent attempts to contact the company via their Twitter were reacted to with annoyance by the company representatives. They said they had an iOS version of NoteSuite in late-stage beta development, but again, that was years ago.
It’s too bad. I’m wondering whether Evernote bought them…considering the timing of EN’s recent overhaul announcement?

The iOS version was released and is very good, but they had to remove the auto cross-referencing function because it slowed the whole app down. Shame, in view of the processing power of e.g. the iPad Pro.

Interesting conjecture about Evernote, however. I wonder!

The LinkedIn profile for Peter Tamte (President, Theory.io—NoteSuite’s owner) states:
“Theory was acquired by a large software company in Fall 2014”
Tamte reported to for Steve Jobs when Tamte worked at Apple a couple of jobs before Theory.io. Perhaps it would be obvious who the “large software company” might be, given old loyalties?
