Well, it had the potential to be the best 12 hours of my life. I finally decided to open up an account with IQTell last night. I was excited with how their program allowed custom layouts and how it handled information. It has such potential - until a few minutes ago when I received an email message announcing they are shutting down their service shortly. I am feeling a bit like Charlie Brown with Lucy and the football again. Oh well, at least it happened before I invested time in learning how to optimize the program.

I just got that message too. IQTell certainly seemed to offer some features other similar services didn't. I'm sorry they pulling the plug.

I have just begun to use it lately and felt good with my email productivity with it.

So what alternatives do we have? I mean a email client plus task management?

One of the first is still one of the best in this category. I first trialed Time & Chaos in 1995(!) It's still going strong with several excellent products.
The Chaos products connect email/contacts/take management and more.
Time & Chaos 8 - http://www.chaossoftware.com/chaos.aspx
Chaos Intellect 4 (The "Business" version of T&C) - http://www.chaossoftware.com/intellect.aspx

Seems like frustration is order of the day. I was looking at Wrike as a possible alternative to IQTell for certain features I wanted, but it seems that they reserve all of their features for enterprise customers and do not even list a price for an individual. I would use their free version, but is just lacking too many essential features to be useful to me.

It seems like the right hand does not always know what the left hand does. IQTell sent me an email message this morning letting me know about that they also have mobile apps for my use. Their closing announcement yesterday mentioned that they would be deactivating newly opened accounts. I have not tried to log into my new account to verify this claim, but perhaps they should deactivate the mail server that send out automated messages to new customers first.

Just got word that IQTell is back in business. From the e-mail:

We are happy to announce that IQTell will be continuing full steam ahead!

This includes:

Committed financing for the next 2 years
Price restructuring to further fuel IQTell's growth
Using this opportunity, thanks to every one of you! We would not be here without your huge vote of confidence!
Thank you all our loyal users for using IQTell, for your ongoing support and your feedback.

Just FYI.

I just saw the email message. I am still a bit cautious, but will give their program further consideration, especially since the sales rep from Wrike was not able to offer any pricing for their premium version for less than five people, and $49/mo. is a bit steep for a single user.

After recent discussions in other threads, I have decided to give IQTell another look. Did anybody stay with it after the shut-down notice last fall that seems to have been rescinded?
