Stairways Software released a major update for it’s Keyboard Maestro macro tool for OS X. Version 7 has numerous new features:

This is not an outliner tool per se, but has definite CRIMPing possibilities ;-)
It’s a tool that belongs on every Mac, in my opinion. Peter Lewis is a great developer.

Thanks for this notification, Paul. (It seems to me that an opportunity exists for a “How to” guide to KM - possibly a “Take Control…” book. Although KM is relatively straightforward in principle, there are potentially lots of detailed wrinkles that a book could cover in order to enable users to get full value from it.).

A Take Control book for KM would be excellent. There is a DocuWiki KM Wiki linked off the KM 7 Help Menu. I don’t know if this is new with v7 or not - but it seems like a useful feature. But not a detailed how-to book, of course.

I second that recommendation from Paul Korm.
Old thread, but worth a “bump”.
I’ve been using Keyboard Maestro (KM) for five years.
It is not an outliner, but it can make using any outliner easier.
KM can make using any Mac software easier, because it tailors any program to your own, personal, way of working.

KM has an excellent Wiki which is constantly updated: https://wiki.keyboardmaestro.com/
And a forum: https://forum.keyboardmaestro.com/
Beginners are treated gently there, but some topics are quite intricate.
.
Here are two suggestions to quickly learn about Keyboard Maestro:
For an overview in 60-seconds, look at the VARIABLES in KM:
https://wiki.keyboardmaestro.com/Variables
For a more technical view, look at the OSX TOKENS that KM can access:
