And talking about Markdown, the Mac OS version of French app 'Smartdown' has made its way out of beta.

It's a pleasant combination of Markdown editor with outliner (headings automatically act as foldable sections), and the developers have been very responsive to feedback (for example, searches used to ignore folded text – now any folded sections with search terms in them are automatically unfolded as you move from one search hit to the next).

Definitely worth putting on one's list of useful Markdown editors! I'm not aware of any other desktop apps (for the Mac) that combine outlining with Markdown. I must see if it's compatible with Cotton Notes on iOS...

Also supports Critic Markdown and custom CSS.
