I guess that I am still somewhat hoping that a bit of CRIMPing might provide me with a better tool to tackle the overload of work that I described in another thread, and the latest candidate for consideration is AllMyNotes. I know the skins are a bit much (reminding me of early Win95 software), but getting past the interface, the program, as straight forward as it is, seems to offer me some tools that might be easy for me to adapt to capturing notes and tracking activities that would be difficult in Asana. I like that the program is portable, as I can use it at work. But, I would like to hear from any users about their thougths, especially about the program’s stability. Anybody spent any time using this program?

I am now evaluating AMN, and have been in brief contact with its developer. He has been reasonably responsive to a couple of my messages, and it appears that a new version of the program is currently underdevelopment and is in beta testing. There are many things that I like about the program, and a few which I would like to change or tweak, mostly relating to layout. But, now that I in in the midst of my evaluation prior to possible purchase, I was wondering what other program are similar. On first glance, it appears that the program that I seem to never love, Evernote, is quite similar, but I was wondering if there are any other recommendations that operate in a similar layout. And, if you are not familiar with AMN, just think of Evernote alternatives that you may want to suggest. I do know that many like OneNote, and I am trying to warm up to it, but It drives me crazy that there is no grid or alignment for the frames that are added to a page. The free form layout may work for some, but it drives me a bit crazy. Any other suggestion for consideration before I make any decisions?
Thanks,

I guess that I should add a short list of some of the key features that I would like to see if possible:
checkboxes
tagging
date/time stamping
tables
highlighting of text
a full folder/document tree in the left column

MyInfo does all these things and more. It’s an excellent, solid program. Unfortunately it’s Windows only, though the developer claims he is working on some sort of Web version. He is a reliable and nice fellow, but I must say the development of MyInfo moves at glacial speed.
Maybe that’s inevitable in (what appears to be) a one-man operation.

MyInfo seems to interesting, but it’s too expensive (US$99 for the Pro version).
