An add-on (beta) to turn LibreOffice and OpenOffice into a kind of an outliner (reminds me of that MS Word add-on which used to be around as an alternative to Scrivener to Windows - forgot the name):

The screenshots will give you an idea:

Looks very interesting, I must say. Ta!

Hm. Looks good. Looks like a small-scale Scrivener replacement.

I just installed it. LO crashed before I could restart it. After starting LO, I couldn't find the extension. Extension Manager said, it's installed. Tried to remove and reinstall ist - no reaction.
Got the latest version of LO, installed it. Can't find Organon, can't remove the half-installed extension. :-(

Too bad. It's still beta though, so hopefully it will improve. I remember now, it reminded me of "Writing Outliner" (that's the trouble with such generic names, easy to forget).

Correction: The file I had downloaded was truncated. Downloaded again - now it's working.
Too bad, I don't have the time to test it right now.

Hi,
I'm the developer of Organon.

"Too bad. It’s still beta though, so hopefully it will improve"

Organon is close to a stable 1.0 version. But some of the features I would like to implement aren't done yet.
And I also would like to get more feedback from users who like to play around with Organon, testing it.

But for me it works stable, except for the known issues.
See: https://github.com/XRoemer/Organon/issues

So give me some feedback when you find issues.
You might post issues directly to github when you have a github account.
Or they might be posted here:
https://organon4office.wordpress.com/2014/08/19/heading-for-version-1-0/
(You can use a fake address for posting)

If you download the package from github, it has to be unzipped first.
It's easier to download directly from OO's or LO's extension-site:
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/organon

Regards,
Xaver

Xaver, welcome to the forum and thanks for the pointers. Looking forward to the future versions.
