Maxthink as a PIM

There again, I found MT very useful as a PIM. Using the import function, the program imports quickly hundreds of files. For cataloging them, just use the gathering command or the binsort command. The restriction one file per topic is useful at this regard. If you need more than one links to one topic, just create them as child topics to the active parent.
I don’t think that creating thousands of links per topic enhances good thinking. Perhaps we get more and more addicted to link everything together and “feel” that this must be a gain of insight, but it’s nothing else than creating an electronic relationship. For associative or creative thinkers, this process may lead to new ideas. For thinkers that have to respect straight and predefined structures in their thinking process ( as for a lawyer or a judge ), this “linking-mania” may even be contraproductive.
In a nutshell : for structured thinkers, I find MT a wonderful PIM too.
