Wen I was looking at the XMIND thread, I saw a Google ad for SmartDraw, and took a look at it.

It looks like it might be good, and it seems to be capable of doing more than maps.

Does anyone have experience with it?

I just downloaded and took a quick look at Smart Draw.

It has mind maps, but a lot of other things as well -- including time lines, which we talked about some time back..

It has diagramming that can be useful in science, programming, planning, etc.
