Nemex is a simple Markdown-based journal -- accepts text and images. The application requires access to a web host or server -- set up is very simple.

Multiple journals ("projects") are supported, each of which can be downloaded intact. Works on any machine or smartphone with a browser -- provides cross-platform note taking without depending on a service such as Simplenote. Supports a minimalist set of Markdown syntax.
