Tabs Outliner - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tabs-outliner/eggkanocgddhmamlbiijnphhppkpkmkl
-link notes to tabs which then keeps it from disappearing
-can deactivate tabs and then reactivate them
Droptask - https://www.droptask.com/
Drag a circle and then drag tasks into them. Technically not an outliner but it’s a free alternative to TheBrain
Solvr - http://www.a.freshbrain.com/solvr/
Color coded outliner for uh…outlining purposes
Cloudship - https://my.cloudshipapp.com
Not technically an outliner but it’s one of those unique to-do lists that has separate sections for notes and check lists
Treed! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/treed!-goal-mapping/id467343421?mt=8
An outliner that starts at a middle and then tasks you to create a beginning plan (technically it just sets the goal but that’s how it was sold to me)

DropTask has a minimal integration with Buzan’s iMindMap products—can send a task to DropTask but there doesn’t’ appear to be any synchronization after the task is sent. Not sure I would consider DropTask an alternative to TheBrain, though it’s true they both have bubbles.
