Wow ... that's quite a transformation. I wonder what web app out there would be most similar to "Clibu" (???) as described by Neville. My first thought is that it sounds a lot like Evernote.

Yes, it does sound like Evernote is the big rival here, though OneNote is also trying to muscle in, and maybe Google Keep, one day.

The big boys will probably continue to try to satisfy the lowest common denominator (mass market needs), so Clibu has an opportunity here to become a high-end niche operator (presuming that it will offer something extra to *power users*).

Strategically this makes sense for Surfulater, as even its core users are probably using more and more mobile devices and other non-Windows hardware, increasingly using Evernote etc. to fill the gaps... I've only just started using Evernote on my Chromebook, even though I still use Surfulater on my PC.

Thanks you for posting this information. Is there a link to try out the Alpha version? I could not find it in the blog post.

"We are only providing access to a very small number of users at this early stage. Open a Ticket at the Clibu Help & Support Center or e-mail help@clibu.com if you’d like to be added to the Alpha release list."

I did not see that. Thanks. I think that since they want to keep it small, I'll wait for now. I wish Neville well.
