OneNote for Mac on the horizon...

As Steve reports, OneNote 2010 goes on running perfectly happily alongside 2013 (just as well, because I’ve got some additional macros installed in there).

I installed OneNote 2013 on top of OneNote 2007. It is a simple exercise to use the built-in conversion utility to convert Nootebooks from 2007—>2013 (and vice versa!).
If your macros are in OneTastic, then you can migrate/install the same macros in OneNote 2013 as you already have in OneNote 2007.
There was a very handy programmatic extension to OneNote 2007 that created a journal, and another one (a kludge) for printing stuff into/onto a page in a OnNote Notebook. There is nothing like the journalising thing in OneNote 2013, and the page-printing thing is redundant as it is built-in to 2013.
There is thus no need to retain the older version of OneNote, unless you need to retain backwards compatibility with sharing users who do not have 2013. I’ve only retained it as I am a bit paranoid about burning my bridges.

Ah, thanks for the tip on that. I haven’t yet tried installing Onetastic on 2013. I’ll play with it a little later. I’m still annoyed to discover OneNote 2013 doesn’t automatically use all my Office 2010 dictionaries/grammar checkers (I use dozens of languages). I’ll have to investigate that, too.

Interesting that in a bit more than a week, OneNote has picked up 1,175 ratings (as of now) in the Mac AppStore. Of these, 54% are five stars. Pent-up demand? So-so acceptance?
