I would eally appreciate hearing from folks who have tried the new version of Biblioscape, or both Biblioscape and IdeaMason, in terms of the strengths and weaknesses of each.
Is the enhanced notes mofdule on B’scape sufficiently strong to one’s main note-taking application?

Daly,
I’ve just begun using Biblioscape 7, but probably won’t be making much use of its note-taking features, since I use Zoot for this. What is interesting about v7 of Biblioscape, though, is that Paul appears to have introduced universal links to the program (maybe they were there before). this means that I can paste the url to a particular Biblioscape reference in Zoot and summon up the reference from Biblioscape by clicking on it in Zoot. It takes an age to appear, but it is a useful feature.
What I intend to do is keep a parallel set of references in Zoot, using a single style - probably APA - together with notes on them.
Another benefit of Biblioscape is that it uses plain-text reference tags. These can be inserted into most programs during drafting, and later exported to Word when the bibliography of an article is to be constructed.
