I only just came across this little app today but I love it. You can add as many or as few progress bars as you like, and you can dock it to the top or bottom of your screen, and it will be permanently visible and not covered by other windows. It’s highly customisable, you can replace all the examples with your own project deadlines. But showing how much time is left of the current hour and current day is also very useful. It keeps you on your toes…

Here is what it looks like docked:

Thanks Dr Andus for the link
I have set it up for my trail running events next year, it can keep me focused on my training . I really like it, could even get me out of trouble in terms of birthdays and anniversaries
cheers Andrew

The latest beta for PBOL has added a neat feature called Zeno Alerts, whereby an alert window pops up and a sound effect plays every time the set time reaches its half point (i.e. at 50%, then 50% of what remains, and so on).
This works particularly well for a Pomodoro-sized progress bar. E.g. I have a bar set to repeat itself every 30 min, and the Zeno alerts go off at 15 min, 7.5 min etc.
The alert window can be set to hide itself after a few seconds, which is helpful when you’re writing in full-screen WriteMonkey for instance, and want to be alerted but not disrupted to have to click the alert window to close it.
The beta can be downloaded from here:
