1. SwiftSearch is portable, small, very fast and doesn't index:

It does have a small display bug: Only half of the SEARCH button is displayed.

GLARY QUICK SEARCH: Instantaneous file and folder search
Non-indexing
Takes a few seconds to start
At first, lists every file and folder, but when you enter a search term, the results are limited to your search term and are instantaneous
Does not require NET
And amazingly, if you add a new file or folder, OR if you change the name of an existing file or folder, Quick Search will find it in a search without having to restart Quick Search.
Be sure to get version 5.0.1.55 (or later). Some earlier versions did not find all items corresponding to your search term.
