Sorry, I didn’t see this thread until today.

I’ve used Intellect as my CRM since 2008. I want to correct one thing here, Chaos started in 1994 I recall as one of the first popular shareware contact management / ToDo / Calendar programs targeting small business. No Email was integrated until somewhere around 2006-ish I think.
All the “parts” of Intellect work very well - for me. The hub of integration though is the Contacts section. That is what is important to the developers and to the vast majority of their users I think.
BUT, what it does not do is allow reports that integrate all sections. For example, I can’t run a report on old tasks and tag the contacts associated with those old tasks.
Something that Chaos does offer that I think helps them a lot from the financial side is their online or cloud if you prefer option. That is an annual fee. Not cheap, but I use it to have access remotely when needed and to sync my Blackberry. Works very well.

Y’day’s post prompted me to seek the askSam website. I could not find a current website which would allow me to click through to it. The websites which appeared to be askSam’s sites would give me an error msg saying I had no authority, and would not open.
Third party software downloading sites still offer askSam.
I think it is probably safe to say that askSam has either died or is in its death throes.

Is there any database program that will import (and convert) askSam files? Or is there any way to save a file and its contents in any other format?

askSam can export to .html, .txt, .csv, and .rtf . All database programs can import those formats.

An old post on the Kinook forum describes how to convert from askSam to Ultra Recall.
