Fired by all this enthusiasm, I’ve finally shelled out for iThoughts - very nice, I must say. But I was even more intrigued to find that a nice workflow has been written for exporting formatted Markdown text directly from Editorial (on iOS) into iThoughts (on iOS). You’ll find it here:

With v1.3 of iThoughtsX opml import (and export) does work at last.

There’s an update to iThoughtsX (Mac App Store) that supports importing Scapple and CMAP documents.
