Have a look. Very simple notetaker, compared to a "private twitter" - not sure that is a good description.
nice bulk edit feature to add/remove tags to many items at once.

It now appears to be a full-featured Evernote clone. ios, android and web apps. And it imports Evernote .enex archives! I haven't tried it because I want my next notetaker to have better security, but thought others might be interested.
