using evernote as bookmark manager

It's odd that Chrome bookmarks are stored in a familiar tree structure but without support for tags. Especially since Google Bookmarks is tag-based. There are some Chrome extensions that purport to add tagging to Chrome bookmarks, but I've yet to try them.
In any event, as the blogger notes, it can be useful to have bookmarks integrated with a more general-purpose notetaking program/service like Evernote, so you don't have to search two different repositories to find what you're looking for.
