Do any users on this forum have any feedback on WizNote after trialling it for a while now?
If you post your feedback here I could copy it across to the DonationCoder WizNote Provisional User Forum, or you could post it there yourself, if you wanted:
From above:
On 2013-12-31 I posted a new section on DonationCoder Forum: WizNote (a PIM from China) - Mini-Review + Provisional User Forum.
URL is: http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=36909.msg345599#msg345599
Every little bit helps. Many thanks.

It does make me wonder, though. To be paranoid (reading too much news lately, I’m afraid), what a terrific way to gain access to email addresses, notes, and maybe code vulnerabilities to lots of information professionals around the world. The client is apparently open source, but the data is stored ... in China? And if you want to host your own server, you open up your host to VPN access.

I’ve tried Wiznote a few times, most recently in early spring. In the Windows world it’s the best Evernote - like alternative to EN I have seen. I believe, without confirming by checking my laptop which is in another building, that my notes live on my hard drive as well as in the cloud.
Wiznote developers jave shown a level of creativity and understanding of users’ needs that have been missing at EN. Wiznote would be my main program except it is limited in clipping capability, often seeming unable to get the whole page, limiting itself to what it identifies as the main article on a page (which it usually clips well).
I plan to keep checking in on Wiznote, and when that clipping issue is corrected, goodbye Evernote.
