These ideas are very similar to things I’ve had brewing for quite a while - a separate section of the site that is essentially an inventory/database of the software discussed, with screenshots, links, user reviews, relevant forum posts shown automatically, etc. Down the road, even doing some kind of feature comparison (e.g., select the products you want to compare) would be feasible.

My “real” job has been very demanding the past few months, so I still haven’t gotten around to the last set of forum improvements. I’ll probably add quite a few things all at once on some weekend when I’m feeling particularly energetic.

I don’t have any plans to charge a subscription fee for any portion of the site.
