Hey all! That old workhorse, KeyNote is really showing its age appearance-wise. It looks like it would be more at home on Windows 3.1 or Win95 than a more modern version of Windows. In my search for a replacement, I stumbled across SEO Note. It appears to be a successor to KeyNote. The problem is, the developer isn’t actively supporting it and there are major bugs. But it LOOKS really nice. Very attractive.
What I ended up doing was to create an icon-set for KeyNote that has a similar look-n-style to the ones used by SEO Note. The results help make KeyNote look fresh.
Here’s a link to a zip of the .icn file. Just unzip and place it in the directory where you installed keynote.

I use KeyNote all the time [opened it three times already just this morning]. Has anyone else used this icon set? I’m hesitant to install anything without knowing more about just what it does.

Thanks for the new icons! I love Keynote, and use it constantly both for private hobbies and for work. I don’t mind that it looks “old fashioned”, but decided to give the spiffy new icons a try anyway. VERY nice!
