Evernote Not Clipping from GMail

Every day there are two or three regularly recurring items which I clip from GMail into Evernote. I’m set up so clippings go first to my Evernote in the cloud and, as a result, I do not see the actual items I’ve clipped until I sync and the clips are downloaded tomy desktop Evernote.
This morning clipping nd synching occurred one after another.
I noted that what I had just clipped from GMail as selected text had not been past into EN, and that there was simply a url.
I went back to previous days clips in EN, and saw that the problem began a few days ago.
EN has always been very reliable in terms of clipping whatever I select. I clipped other items (ie not from GMail) this morning, and EN pasted whatever I selected.
I’m curious to know if others have experienced the same problem.
As a work-around, I found that if I selected in GMail, copied to the clipboard, and then selected a new note in EN I could paste my selection without any problem.

Also, if you are clipping selections from GMail, be sure you are getting what you selected and not just a url.

I find that Evernote (as do many programs) behave idiosyncratically in different browsers.
So, if you use more than one browser, note how Evernote acts differently in each.
If you only use one browser, try using another to get the results you’re after.

I concur with Vince. I have the Evernote extension installed in IE9, Firefox, Chrome and Safari, and each one behaves as if it were another program…
FWIW I just tried clipping something from Gmail through the EN FF extension and indeed it did not seem to work. I actually got nothing at all, not even the URL or a blank note. I tried it with Evernote both running and not. In both cases I got the “Processing Clipped Data” notification but no “1 Note Added” after that. I checked with other web content and the clipper seems to work fine.
You can of course report this bug to Evernote, but my suggestion would be to skip using the clipper for mail material altogether, and simply forward such stuff to your ...@m.evernote.com email. I find this very convenient and reliable. You can find your address under Tools / Account Info in the desktop client.

For my uses, a key advantage of forwarding to EN instead of clipping is that when you forward, email attachments are included in the created note.
